ciliaryblue is run and organised by a fully qualified and registered Optician, with over 20 years experience, of both testing and retail management in a high street practice. Our aim is to offer the same professional service and exactly the same product at a fraction of the cost. As we are a UK, internet only based company our overheads are significantly less than the high street Opticians (Boots, D&A, Specsavers etc) This allows us to provide you with much cheaper lenses, in some cases this will be as little as a ¼ of their price. ciliaryblue is aimed at customers who want to use their own frame, this could be your existing frame, a new frame purchased from a high street retailer or on-line. We supply single vision lenses for distance, near and intermediate, tinted and now bifocal, varifocal and other specialist lenses. We can only reglaze varifocals for existing wearers. We can take the critical measurements from the existing pair and match these exactly to the same frame or apply them to a new frame. We can make spectacles for anyone over the age of 17 and we accept NHS vouchers.

The ciliaryblue process starts when you have entered all the necessary details on-line and ordered your lenses. Our purchasing team will order your single vision lenses straight away and at the same time send to you a pre-paid, addressed, flat packed box. You can then use this to post the frames to us. When we receive your frames, we will glaze your lenses into them and post back to you. Bifocal and Varifocal lenses will not be ordered until the frame is received. The whole process is overseen by the qualified Optician.

ciliaryblue don’t do 2 for 1 or any type of hidden offer, the price you see is what you pay. Most Opticians will display their frames including the price for single vision lenses. Remember this, if you see a frame that you would like us to glaze for you.

Uniquely, ciliaryblue offer a spectacle refurbishment package too. For a small charge we aim to make your existing glasses feel and look like new.
