It was reported this week in the Optician Magazine about the trends affecting the optical market on the high street. Single vision lenses still account for around 73% of the lenses dispensed with bifocal at 10% and varifocal 17%. The percentage of reglazes has stayed the same at 12%, the same for the last 2 years! Reactions lens sales has gone up and less people are having anti-reflective coatings.  Now let me tell what is happening on the internet. Of course I can only speak for ciliaryblue, but reglazing volume has increased 2 fold from this point last year. More and more people have anti-reflective coatings, they account for around 75% of all our lenses sold, reactions lenses are still one of our best sellers. Why is there such a difference between us and the high street? Price! We are on most price points at least 1/2 price and in some case we are as little as 1/4 of the price. So keep bucking the trend, leave the high street alone and use ciliaryblue, its safe, cheap, professional and so easy. Click the link at the top of the page and have a look at the prices and the process.

The summer is almost upon us so it must be time to find the sunglasses that have not been worn since the end of last summer? But you’ve had a new sight test since then and your prescription has changed and you like the frame you’ve got. So just change the lenses, go online and order your single vision lenses and let us reglaze them for £22. This includes the postage and the glazing. We even send you the box to send the frames to us. How easy could it be? You should only be without them for a few days. So save yourself a fortune and get your full UV blocking sunglass lenses from us.
