You can have your varifocals reglazed! If it is an existing frame we can take the measurement from them and position the new lenses in exactly the same position. If it is a new frame that you want reglazing we can take the positional measurements from an existing pair and duplicate for the new frame. If you are a first time wearer, then we suggest you utilize the services of your Opticians to do this, when you want another pair come to us. We rang around today to give you an idea of the equivalent High Street costs in Red and ciliaryblue in Blue

I wanted to let you know that I am absolutely delighted with the glasses which you reglazed for me. Not having used internet services for glasses before, I must admit I was a bit concerned, especially as my High Street Optician had refused to give me my p.d. measurement and also that my glasses are varifocal, both things which I thought might complicate matters. But my glasses are fantastic and I am delighted with the service I received. I will definitely be a returning customer in future! Thank you again,

Hi Rob
There is quite a big difference between the Elite and the Premium, that being the field of view and the reduction of the distortions at the egdes. The newest type of design being the ‘free form’(elite), these are more expensive but much better to look through. Most lens manufacturers have a free form design and they are all of similar quality and offer very similar fov.
I hope this helps, please feel free to ring or email if you have any further questions?
Kind regards

Just to say how pleased I am with the varifocal reglaze and also with your exemplary service. I had been quoted a price of £390 by my local optician and clearly your price beat that handsomely. But just as important was the business experience. I have just ordered a reglaze for a second pair now that I have confidence in Ciliary Blue and its business processes. Well done and it has been a real pleasure doing business. I would not hesitate to recommend Ciliary Blue for anyone requiring a varifocal reglaze, and shall certainly always use yourselves in the future. Tom Wright

Hi Phil and Chris et al,
After the first reglaze you did for me (see comment number 10), I decided to have my second pair reglazed. Just to say how pleased I am with the second pair. I do not say that the second pair were ‘better’ as that would be impossible, but just to say that I am 100% pleased with both pairs and I do not see that your service could be improved. It goes without saying that I can unreservedly recommend your service to all people who have frames they want to keep, but who, because they require a reglaze, and do not wish to pay high street prices, want a good reglaze job done, but are afraid to commit for the first time. Have no fear, just do it. Thanks to all again. Till next time. Tom Wright

Good Afternoon,
I have a new prescription for varifocals and have ordered new glasses from my opticions. However, I have my old ones which need reglazing and I am told it will cost over £450 to do this as they are rimless. Please would you let me know if you supply lenses for rimless glasses and how much per hole it is to drill.
Yours hopefully,
Zara

Hi Zara, we don’t charge per hole for the drilling of rimless mounts, as we don’t charge any extra at all for the glazing of rimless glasses. You would only pay the price for the lenses themselves. The cost will include first class postage, packing and glazing! Give us a ring if you want to discuss the options available, but I am sure we can come up with a much much cheaper alternative! Ed

Phil & Chris,
Just to let you know how pleased I am with your prompt & efficient service. (just over a week) My local optician took a sharp intake of breath when I asked for a “Sports Insert” to be glazed for my sunglasses with my varifocal prescription, and quoted me £195!! You did the job for £45 and much quicker. I will definately be using your services again.
Many thanks to all,
Campbell

Hi Phil, again the service is very impressive – I had a spare envelope from a previous transaction which cut down the send/receive to four working days!!! (And the latest postal pack as received is stored for future use)
FYI three years ago Boots Opticians charged me £120 PER VARIFOCAL LENS! These are the frames you reglazed to the same specification for £75. For any doubting Thomas’s ‘out there’ 1: Look out all your redundant spectacles – and use your favourite pair for the reglaze service PLUS the very reasonable ‘£5 Extra’ rennovation service – it REALLY is worth it! 2: Getting the same script have another pair with sunglass tint. That way – in the years ahead you have a ready one (if like us, you favour varifocals) to send with your next updated requirement. You won’t regret it.
Peter.
