Dear Ciliaryblue, I had not used this service before and my Specs cost over £500 last year, the coating had rubbed off in an unsightly patch. They where Chanel rimless and I was slightly concerned but thought I would have a go! Needn't have worried, Specs are perfect. Easy transaction, I shall recommend you to everyone. I was quoted £180 for re glazing at a High Street Optician, except it would have taken two weeks as opposed to the one week turn around from your company fantastic. I paid you £29 amazing! I am spending the money I saved on prescription sunglasses!

I spoke to Katie, who was very helpful and knowledgeable with regards to my request as well as being very pleasant and polite. I think everyone enters into internet buying with some trepidation, but happily in this case I was very well pleased with the service and the standard of the product. The whole process from start to finish was extremely quick. You were very prompt to reply to my initial email and called me pretty much immediately to sort out my lenses. I used the recorded delivery service, had the box delivered the following day, sent them the same day and received them back, reglazed 3 days later. From start to finish, less than a week. Hello, On Friday last I forwarded to you for reglazing two pairs of spectacles(one being prescription sunglasses) following an eyesight test as a result of which I required a change of prescription. The spectacles arrived today(Tuesday) which I feel is amazing service. The quality is as good as any optician. I was very impressed throughout with the service which included personal contact to ensure that I was aware of the full cost and that I was getting exactly what I wanted. I found your company using an Alta Vista search...thought the website was v good, although I ran through the options several times before things were totally clear. Service was exceptional - I particularly liked the way that you forward a pre-paid box for the frames...thoughtful and secure. Incredibly happy with the service. Helpful and personal advice from lovely girl over the phone who didn't push me to go for the most expensive and thinnest lens when I described the frames to her. Only problem was postal strike which wasn't anything to do with you and when I telephoned another box was dispatched immediately. Hi, Was extremely happy - it was quick, you contacted me concerning a problem with the correct lense size, and that didn't hold up the order at all, in fact was quicker that using my regular optician, Have already recommended the company to other people - wasn't that convinced to start, as was told by my optician that "90 %" of people who use the internet are dissatisfied and have to come back to get a reglaze", which i thought sounded like a randon number plucked out of the air.

I was having problems with the optician “I should have gone to” getting my new glasses right. As a back-up, I thought of having my previous semi-rimless lightweight frames re-glazed, just in case of further problems. ,
I found this site via a search engine and within a week I had my comfy old frames back – I went for a re-furb which means that they are as good as new! ,
I particularly liked the highly polished lens edges (check if YOUR current lenses have them), the silicone nose pads that don’t slip, and the card in the returned transport box showing the Pupilary Distance (the one the opticians will not quote on your prescription)for future use. ,

The completed frames arrived on Friday morning and I got to see them later that evening. Fantastic job, the high street opticians said it couldn’t be done and to go and get a refund. Not only did Ciliary Blue reglaze the frames for an excellent price, they were done with style, an absolute work of art. The curve of the lenses matches the base curve of the frames perfectly with absolutely no distortion.
As a cyclist use to wearing sports eyewear, ergonomics, comfort and weight are very important to me. The same criteria I expect from my normal eyeglasses, and Ciliary Blue met all the criteria with style. They are definitely a great advertisement for Ciliary Blue and particularly the skills of chris Tomlinson. Now that the initial response of “they can’t possibly be prescription glasses” is out of the way, half of the glasses wearing population of Manchester, who have taste, should be beating a path to your door. Much appreciation for a job well done.

If anyone is wondering whether to risk ordering Varifocals from this site, I would like to say, having just received mine from them, that their service is fantastic. They have reglazed my rimless glasses with a varifocal prescription, and the result is perfect. The lenses are nicely thin and light, with a good anti-glare coating, and they are actually better for seeing out of than the ones I had made at the opticians. Highly

Not having used internet services for glasses before, I must admit I was a bit concerned, especially as my High Street Optician had refused to give me my p.d. measurement and also that my glasses are varifocal, both things which I thought might complicate matters.
